If anybody wants the links to the forum posts with the work-in-progress builds of retropie for the rock64, let me know. if anybody else is reading this and is curious about emulation on the rock64, it seems running emulation through android on it works relatively well. Visit the Download page for RetroPie and download the appropriate installation file for your respective device. There you can choose to completely uninstall RetroPie. retropiesetup.sh After that you get into the script. stable emulation is better than broken emulation. You just have to run the RetroPie script with typing in the command line: cd RetroPie-Setup chmod +x retropiesetup.sh sudo. if it’s the best option, i might have to go with it in the end, but i prefer not to. I think lakka is okay, but i find the xmb interface really bland. the people working on them will be way better than me, so i’ll try to contribute with some feedback once i finally get my board. one on the pine64 forums and one on the retropie forums. for now, there are two unofficial builds that others are working on, so i’m keeping my eyes on those. they can’t support every single board computer that comes out, but i’m hoping that they to work to support the ones that are popular.Īs for building it from scratch, that’s something i might try. i’m hoping that the devs can be convinced to make an official build that supports the rock64 if enough people talk about it.
